SAN FRANCISCO (MarketWatch) -- In an effort to disrupt a market dominated by Google Inc. and underline its own ability to make bold strategic moves that don't involve a merger with Microsoft Corp., Yahoo Inc. said Wednesday that it aims to dramatically open up its online search service to outside developers.
